abstract = {A new genus, Niveofulviporus, is proposed based on morphological characters and molecular data. It is typified by N. xanthochrous sp. nov., characterized by its resupinate basidiocarps with darkening reaction in KOH, a monomtic hyphal system with simple septa and hyaline to yellowish generative hyphae, and hyaline, and thin-walled, cylindric to oblong-ellipsoid basidiospores. Phylogenetic analysis of N. xanthochrous and its related species was inferred from ITS and nLSU rDNA sequences, which indicates that it belongs to Phanerochaetaceae.
