abstract = {Vamsapriya yunnana sp. nov. isolated from a dead bamboo in Yunnan, China, is described and illustrated. The new taxon is characterized by synnematous conidiophores, with enteroblastic, monotretic conidiogenous cells and brown to dark brown, fusiform with long tail, 4?9-septate conidia. The species differs from the type and the other known species in having wider fertile region and rostrate tip. Phylogenetic analyses performed by maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian Inference of a combined ITS, LSU and RPB2 DNA sequence data supported that V. yunnana is a new species belongs to the genus Vamsapriya in Xylariaceae.}
