Abstract
Several new records of Golovinomyces and Podosphaera (Erysiphales) in Japan are reported with morphological and molecular data. These include the first finding of G. cynoglossi in Japan, the first occurrence of Euoidium sp. on Trigonotis peduncularis, G. riedlianus on Galium trifloriforme var. nipponicum and P. xanthii on Verbena brasiliensis, and the first morphological descriptions and molecular data for G. orontii on Rubia hexaphylla, P. curvispora on Aria alnifolia, P. tridactyla on Cerasus leveilleana, and P. xanthii on Parasenecio hastatus subsp. tanakae and V. bonariensis based on Japanese specimens.
