Abstract
Six species of Pluteus are reported from the African island nation, Republic of S?o Tom? and Pr?ncipe. Two represent new species (P. hirtellus, P. thomensis) and the other four represent new distribution records. Comprehensive descriptions, line drawings, color photographs, comparisons with allied taxa, a dichotomous key to aid identification, and a phylogenetic analysis of pertinent Pluteus species based on ITS rDNA sequences are provided.
