Preventive measures are often not sufficient to control this disease, therefore chemical management needs to be included. It is important to distinguish the genetic clades for targeted chemical control. We have focused on phylogenetic determination of four isolates of Calonectria pseudonaviculata collected from chateau gardens in the Czech Republic by sequencing and phylogenetic analysis. It was possible to determine both phylogenetic species within the beta?tubulin gene sequence. Showing presence of both phylogenetical species in the Czech Republic with the dominating clade Calonectria henricotiae. This statement was supported by term tolerance tests on mycelia growth of both clades.} }
