The view that the genera of downy mildews with pyriform to vesicular haustoria the Bremia-clade (Basidiophora, Benua, Bremia, Paraperonospora, Plasmopara, Plasmoverna and Protobremia) include species parasitic to Poaceae has therefore to be discarded.
