abstract = {Two new species of Pluteus section Pluteus, P. purpureofuscus and P. griseodiscus, are described as new, based on collections from China. P. purpureofuscus is characterized by the purple-brown colors of pileus, presence of clamp-connections, and habitat on coniferous wood. P. griseodiscus is characterized by the pale colors of the basidiocarps, non-pigmented lamellar edges, thick-walled cheilocystidia and the presence of caulocystidia. The phylogenetic position of both species, based on nrITS data is also discussed.}
