Abstract
Dicephalospora is a genus of Helotiaceae (Helotiales) that presently comprises 14 species, all of which were collected from Asia. The current study describes an additional new species and a collection from Chiang Rai Province, Thailand, for which we propose the name Dicephalospora chiangraiensis sp. nov. The new fungus was recognized based on morphological characters coupled with phylogenetic analyses of combined LSU and ITS loci.
Keywords
1 new species, Helotiales, taxonomy, Thai microfungi.
