abstract = {A collection of isolates identified as L. pseudotheobromae was studied on the basis of sequence data from the ITS regions and tef1-a, TUB and RPB2 genes. Phylogenetic analyses identified four subclades within L. pseudotheobromae sensu lato, which are corresponding to L. pseudotheobromae and L. chinensis, as well as other two reported species L. lignicola and L. The distinct phylogenetic position of these four clades is supported by differences in conidial morphology and these are, therefore, described as Lasiodiplodia chineisis sp. nov.}
