abstract = {Samples of the Tremella fibulifera complex from China and Brazil are studied, and its lectotype is designated from Brazil. Five new species, namely T. australe, T. guangxiensis, T. latispora, T. parallela and T. subfibulifera, are described based on morphological characteristics, molecular evidence, ecology, and geographic distribution. Eleven ITS, eight nLSU, five mt-SSU, six RPB1, four RPBB2 and seven TEF1 sequences were newly generated and phylogenetic analyses were performed by the ITS dataset and the combined ITS, nLSU, mt-SSU, RPB1, RPB2 and TEF1 dataset. The six species form six independent lineages with robust support in both datasets. Illustrated description of the six species and discussions with related species are provided. The size of basidiospores is stable and important characteristics for distinguishing the species within the complex, and ITS sequence is a sensitive marker to discriminate species. A comparison of the characteristics of the species in the complex is provided herein. }
