abstract = {Fruiting bodies of an undescribed dacrymycetous species were collected from Pinus densiflora forests in Japan. This new species, Femsjonia uniseptata, is characterized by the presence of discoid to applanate basidiocarps having white hairs at the margins, thin-walled internal and marginal hyphae with clamp connections, and 0?1-septate basidiospores. According to a molecular phylogenetic analysis, F. uniseptata is closely related to a specimen identified as F. peziziformis. Within Femsjonia, F. uniseptata is morphologically most similar to F. pezizoidea; however, the latter species has turbinate or obconic basidiocarps, thick-walled internal and marginal hyphae, and 3-septate basidiospores. The new species is also similar to Dacrymyces corticioides, but the latter has 1?3-septate basidiospores. With the addition of F. uniseptata, the genus Femsjonia now comprises seven species.}
