Based on ITS sequence data, molecular analysis showed three well-separated main clades in which the isolated Trichoderma strain was found to assemble as a sole subclade among T. koningiopsis strains. Additionally, the result showed that this T. koningiopsis strain inhibit growth of all L. gongylophorus tested. The percentage of inhibition of radial growth values of L. gongylophorus were ranging from 58% to 69% and the average mean value of T. koningiopsis against all L. gongylophorus strains was 65%. In dual plate tests Trichoderma koningiopsis proved to be an effective biocontrol agent against three Leucoagaricus gongylophorus strains from nest of leaf cutting ants.} }
