abstract = {A survey of Mycosphaerella and its anamorphs in Thailand has been carried out since 2008. The main aim of the study is to provide a database of this group of fungi for supporting the identification which is still difficult for many mycologists and plant pathologists in this region. Mycosphaerella guttulata sp. nov., found on Platycerium wallichii, is proposed as a new species in this report as this fungus is distinct from other Mycosphaerella species by having guttulate and pale brown spores. Phylogenetic examination of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region of nuclear ribosomal DNA indicated an anamorph-teleomorph connection with the genus Pseudocercospora.}
