abstract = {Abstract: Haploporus australiensis sp. nov. is described and illustrated from southern Australia. It is characterized by an annual, resupinate basidiocarps with white to cream fresh pores which becoming buff-yellow up on drying, indistinct sterile margin, a dimitic hyphal structure with indextrinoid skeletal hyphae, the presence of cystidioles which occasionally with a simple septum, the absence of dendrohyphidia, dissepimental hyphae thick-walled with a simple septum, and cylindrical, hyaline, thick-walled, indextrinoid, cyanophilous basidiospores with echinulate ornamentations, 11?14 ? 5.2?7 ?m. A molecular study based on the combined ITS (internal transcribed spacer region) and nLSU (the large nuclear ribosomal RNA subunit) dataset demonstrated the studied samples formed a new lineage in Haploporus.}
